I had a great Christmas break!!! I started off the week by going to the mall with my best friends, Sarah and Tieler. We had a blast! I bought a really cute sweater dress. But it was really crowded! I got home and then I went to my other best friends house Brylee. We also had a great time! The next day I went sledding with my other best friend Shelby. It was sooo fun. Then we went to Target with her mom because she had to return something. I was wearing moon boots and sweats! And Shelby was wearing her snow boots and basketball shorts. And we saw Sarah! People were laughing at us! Then we went back to Shelby's house and played Mexican Train with her mom! It was so fun her mom is hilarious!!!! We were the only one's home and we were being so loud!!!!! Then we went to Olive Garden. It was delicious!!!
Christmas Eve rolled around. We went over to my Grandparents house to eat dinner and act out the nativity scene like every year. And the younger kids exchange gifts. I got 20$ worth in I-tunes gift cards! We got home and got our pajama's and ornaments. Like every year. Then we had a ginger bread making contest. I lost.
Christmas was amazing! I got tons of clothes! New snow pants and snow boots. And a couple of x-box games!! I had an awesome Christmas.

Utopia
I think utopias are bad. Because with utopias you have strict rules! The more rules you have the easier it is to have utopias. But the less fun your community is. Like when the Giver was telling Jonas, how they used to have more freedom. They had colors and animals and music. But the community wasn't as stable. To have a utopia they had to take those things away.
Like I was saying in the fist paragraph, a utopia wouldn't be as fun as a normal town. Because a utopia has more rules. You have practicly no freedom. But in a normal community you would have more fun. You can chooose your job, go out to dinner and even just have a car. You can read. There are just so many more things to do!
Love makes things super complicated! But it is so worth it! In this community you couldn't even choose your own spouse! You just get pared up with someone according to your personalitys. That's horrible! But to have a utopia I guess you would have to take that away. And that is very sad! In the book when Jonas asked if they loved him they bascily said no! I would be devistated if my parents said that to me!

Skiing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One time when I went skiing with my friend Brylee. We rented all our gear and if we didn't give it back to them at the end of the day we would have to pay a fine.
We were on the ski lift. I like to tease her! So I put the straps of my polls on my wrists. If you guys don't ski then polls are something you use to help you stop and go. Anyway, I pretened to drop then! She flipped out! I did that again! And on my third time I axidently dropped one of my poles! I dropped down a Double Black Diamond hill! That's that hardest hill! I am pretty good at skiing, but not that good! We were flipping out! But we decided that we should keep skiing and if someone turns it in then we will claim it! We went down a few more hills and we checked if someone turned a pole in just before we were leaving. And we were in luck! Someone did!!! So it all worked out in the end!

Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Christmas is my favorite holiday!Getting the presents is awesome! But my favorite part of the Christmas is the feeling! Everyone is so jolly! People want to give and not just receive! I really think their is a spirit of Christmas!
I love all the decorations! The lights on top of the house look really pretty! And I love Christmas trees! I really enjoy decorating them! But the best part is after your done taking a step back and admiring your work!
I love Christmas dinner! My mom is an amazing cook, so we always have the best Christmas dinner. It's like Thanksgiving all over again!
I am the youngest in my family. All my brother and sisters are in college. So I don't get to see them very much! In college you also get a Christmas break. So every year they come down and we have a family get together! And that is my favorite part of Christmas!
